LETTERS TO THE JUDICIARY COMMITTEE NEEDED
We are 95% sure that the Judiciary Committee will vote on AB1800 on Tuesday April 25. But we need to get our letters in far before then, so please get your letters to the members of the committee as quickly as possible.
The entire Assembly has spring recess from the 13th to the 25th and during that period letters will be piling up in each assemblymembers office. If your letter is part of this backlog, it may not be read in time to make a difference at the hearing.
So please make sure your letters land on the desks of the committee members by April 13, next Thursday. At the same time, dont hold back on your letters just because they wont arrive by that date.
Contact information for the members of the committee is below.
Notice that the district addresses of the members are included. However, your letters and faxes should still go to the capitol addresses.
But if you live in one of the districts listed, please set an appointment to visit your representative. He or she should be available during the recess and each Friday. A personal visit from a constituent is the most powerful weapon we have, please use it if you can.
From all the information we can gather, the Judiciary Committee is going to be far tougher than Health. It could go either way. Most of these legislators do not understand our issue like the ones in the Health Committee. We must make them understand.
No pep talkwe all know why AB1800 must be passed.
Thank you for all that you do.
